billjoyal Posted April 17, 2005 Report Posted April 17, 2005 has anyone had to take out a 4t65e tranny from a 2000 body style grand prix? I got a 00 GTP that the tranny went...another fine design by GM, but i was wondering if the whole motor/tranny assembly had to be dropped/pulled, or if i could just yank the tranny out by itself. White93z34 Posted April 17, 2005 Report Posted April 17, 2005 hey bill! i see you found your way over here from the z34 board. i'd imagine its not too different then a lumina, since they both have the full cradle in them or a pain in the ass. you could drop your cradle down and get it out from the bottom, but i'd just yank both engine and trans at once.
