1993 3.1. just replaced the map, icm and coils and the car has good fuel pressure (although the feed line does leak slightly if you push it the wrong way. plugs and wires have less than an hour's running time on them, but i'll check them anyways just to be sure they are sprking.

what else should i check? i'm really running out of ideas here. the car would sart and run for a minute or so before i changed the battery. even after i put the old battery back in it just doesn't want to start :bash:

If you have fuel pressure you dont have spark or injector pulse.

Got all the connections on and or tight, all the connectors go together nicely and looked to be in good shape ?

you could have water in your gas tank, which would make it not start, if you pick up some dry gas, that will absorb the water. once you put the dry gas is, leave it there overnight without trying to start it, and the next day it will start if thats the prob....

i didn't try the dry gas yet. today i was fixing my ignition switch problems, remounting my coils and a ton of other stuff. i probably won't get around to it until monday.

everything is connected securely and looks to be in good shape. next week i'm going to pull the injectors and fuel rail off and test them. other than this stuff i'm running out of ideas

I believe it's way down in east bumfuck behind the rear exhaust manifold. almost positive it's down there.. god knows I plugged and unplugged it over and over enough times today...

i thought that was the one. the car should still start even if was unplugged though, right?
NOPE!!! Without the CPS, the coils aren't triggered to fire. No Spark=No start

dry gas didn't work and the knock sensor is plugged in. :(

You sure you checked the CRANK sensor and not the KNOCK sensor? The knock sensor is screwed into the block, the crank sensor is bolted in. If the crank sensor is unplugged, it won't start. If the knock sensor is unplugged, it'll run with retarded timing.

the one i checked is below and to the right of the exhaust downpipe. well, left if you are looking at it from the front of the car. i think that's the knock sensor? if so i don't know which one the crank sensor is.

i chekked all plugs and wires and I AM getting spark (spark looked a litle weak but i think that was just because of the sun). is there any way to check fuel injector pulse without pulling off the top of the motor?

oh and I just noticed i recently rolled over to w-body enthusiast :rocking:
