17x7 wheel with a 40 mm offset and a 225/45/r17 tire

It will, but those tires will look tiny. Cats will crawl into the huge gaps looking for a place to sleep. 97+ guys are usually running a 26.6" tall tire and that is only a 24.9" tire. Speedo will be off by several percent.

:withstupid: a couple of the stray cats around here crawl into my truck's wheel wells i need to get bigger tires. plus i ran over a cat cause it was sleeping in the wheel well and tried to get out before the truck moved. oh well one less stray cat i guess

i would look at the tire size that is stock on the 97+ car your getting and decide on the tires that way

245/50/17 or 245/45/18 wont mess with your speedo
