habenarohank Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 I've got a 1992 GTP 5 speed all original and if I am going to let the wife drive it I was thinking about putting that drivetrain insurance that cover's engine, tranny, ect. Anyone done it? I'm afraid of her "new to the clutch thing" that there is a good chance of engine or tranny failure. I have seen you can put a 5 year 100,000 mile warrantee on the car for 650 bucks. The cost of a rebuild alone on a 3.4 is a small fortune. Any help from you guys/girls would be appreciated. Habenarohank Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 I would just make sure to teach her properly, and if she's comfortable driving stick then no need to throw money away. If the 3.4 fails, it would likely be more due to lack of maintenance then bad driving. Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted April 13, 2005 Report Posted April 13, 2005 I didn't even know there was such a thing. Not a bad idea unless it has a deductible. Quote
