Crimson Fury Z
heres a new problem; at idle and up to 3,500 rpms there is a constant put put put put. it dies down, but is still there after 3,500 rpm. #2 plug boot and plug were black w/ a gas smell, but the gapped end of the plug looked ok as far as i could tell. so i call the zone and they say that they got the rapid fire #12s in and when i got to get one they don't have any. so i had to get a bosch platinum(not the plat.4) and this didn't fix it. would this have anything to do w/ the 180 t-stat, running on the stock chip(till ben sends the ffp back)? GOT2B GM
I ran a 180 t-stat all last year (with the stock chip) with no problems. :?
Crimson Fury Z
culprit: coil packs. only logical thing i can think of. #'s 2 & 4 plugs are the brown, but gas smelling goop on them, a clean up and reinstalled em. to better describe the putting, think of a go cart/4-wheeler putt to the rpms. joey b
shouldn't it be 2 and 5 that are bad if it is coil packs?
GOT2B GM
How old are your wires? I'd try changing your coilpack(s) and get your ICM tested.
Crimson Fury Z
coil packs! replaced them and all is well(for now!!! ). wires are no older than 5 months, plugs, too, & the icm was done within the last 3 months. time for a cigar, if i had one :bawl:
