That Bastard 32

So as some may recall I have spent countless hours and many moons trying to figure out the problem with my EGR valve.

I have noticed when I replace the EGR gaskets and whatnot (Take it off to clean it) The car runs great for about 2 weeks and starts throwing the code again. I have cleaned the intake part of the valve as well I have cleaned the valve itself and there appears to be no carbon/carbon build up. Sometimes the car will run for a week without a SES light and sometimes I cant make it down the street without it throwing a code

secondly last night it threw a SES but shut off after about 10 seconds.

Only code on the ECM is 32. I dont know what else I can do. Its a brand new Delco EGR Valve. Maybe has 10,000km on it

I get piss poor gas mileage when the SES light is on. I don't know what to do anymore.. Anyone?

Dude my car always throws a code 32 and I cannot find where the hell it's coming from. I replaced that stupid digital EGR and the gaskets and it didnt go away. The only thing I've never done is trace the vacuum lines because they go under the intake and I don't feel like pulling that damn thing off. The light never went on until my grandfather had the motor rebuilt in 1999.

30k later, it still goes on only at higher speeds... for example, cruising 50mph + or if I am beating the crap out of the car it comes on. I have no idea what this is. I'm guessing vacuum line somewhere but I kinda learned to live with it. I put a picture of my gf over the SES light instead.

If anyone has any ideas for my problem, throw em in too. lol

btw, my car runs fine with the check engine light on. There is no performance differences at all.

it's not uncommon to hear of that with the 3.4. My friend chased that down for a LONG time on his. Eventually he found out the problem, after flushing out the passage on the upper intake (off the engine) a big chunk of carbon came out, and the code never reappeared.

Wow, that's really sick. Nearly every 3.4 I've seen has thrown that code.

Tip: When you're doing your EGR valve, before you put the new valve on, fire up the car, and rev it some (keep your head clear!) to clear out some of the carbon from the EGR passages.

Also, if you're really anal retentive, get some speedometer cable, fray the end up real good, stick the other end in your drill, and clean out the passages that way. Works suprisingly well.

I have tried that once before. I guess I will try some sort of jury rigged cleaning device. Like you mentioned before.

Do I need to replace all the gaskets on the EGR valve after taking it off?

Does anyone know the part numbers for the gaskets if I do?

I have 10130970 but thats all
