Baddflash Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 You could maybe try to clean the threads up first, but you don't really have much choice do you? Quote
Brian P Posted April 6, 2005 Report Posted April 6, 2005 Try to get it to go in straight. Disconnect the fitting off the pipe if you have to. Quote
Robby1870 Posted April 6, 2005 Author Report Posted April 6, 2005 Already done all of that. Threads are clean, bought a new fitting. I dont have any spare 3100 manifolds laying around like I do 3.1L manifolds. LOL Quote
Robby1870 Posted April 8, 2005 Author Report Posted April 8, 2005 Update: Finished the car a hour or so ago, started it up after an oil change and was still making that same ticking. After a minute or so, looked in the car at the cluster for an SES light and the oil light was on. I forgot to fill it up with oil after draining it! Filled it, started it up, purrs smoothly now. Yeah! And, I'd like to say, there is only ONE order to put everything back together. I had to take the coilpacks off three or four times to put something else on. Quote
dsgrntld187 Posted April 8, 2005 Report Posted April 8, 2005 3100's suck to take down. I hate how the thermostat requires the removal of the THROTTLE BODY to complete.. Whoa, I don't know what 3100 you were working on, but I didn't remove anything to do my t-stat on my Cutlass. Quote
