supreme_style21 Posted April 2, 2005 Report Posted April 2, 2005 Just sounds like bad batteries in the FOB. Quote
Prospeeder Posted April 2, 2005 Author Report Posted April 2, 2005 the batterys are brand new, i just bought them, and the contacts in the fod are clean Quote
supreme_style21 Posted April 2, 2005 Report Posted April 2, 2005 Uh well under the process of elimination, the RKE module is then going bad. Quote
Prospeeder Posted April 2, 2005 Author Report Posted April 2, 2005 ack, damn things, that sucks big time, ill soder it i guess if i can get the fucking plug out, i dont wanna break it, but it wont budge Quote
GP1138 Posted April 2, 2005 Report Posted April 2, 2005 Sometimes there's a little blue tab that holds the plug in place. You might have to remove that first. Quote
Prospeeder Posted April 2, 2005 Author Report Posted April 2, 2005 ohh is that what those were, alright, lol, thanks Quote
Robby1870 Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 yeah, GM loves those stupid tab things. I never put them back in hardly. Did you test the RKE by grounding the wire in the trunk? Quote
GP1138 Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 I never put them back in either. Well, when I did the DIC and HUD on my new car I did. Quote
Prospeeder Posted April 3, 2005 Author Report Posted April 3, 2005 no, i havent gounded it, how do i? i know where the cord/plug thingy is, but where do i ground it and how Quote
cutlsp Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 you simply strip some paint off the metal anywhere on the rear deck to get a good ground then put a screw in the metal and you have a ground Quote
supreme_style21 Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 you simply strip some paint off the metal anywhere on the rear deck to get a good ground then put a screw in the metal and you have a ground No. You take like an alligator clip and ground the wire temporarily. The locks should cycle if the module is in good shape. Quote
digitaloutsider Posted April 3, 2005 Report Posted April 3, 2005 Yeep! On my bonne, you ground pins on the ALDL connector.. :? Quote
