Jon89le Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 Does anyone know what tool removes the parking brake from the caliper? I have an 89GP. I know half of it is held by a nut but the other half i cant tell. It seems like its a torx bit but T30 has some play and T40 dont fit. Thanks for any input. Quote
Jon89le Posted January 21, 2003 Author Report Posted January 21, 2003 do they even make an inbetween size? All i can find are small increments up to 30 and then it goes by 10s thereafter. Quote
mfewtrail Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 I'd think it would be the T-30, my set of torx bits goes from T10, T15,T20, T25, T27,T30,T40,T45,T47,T50,T55,T60.........so I have no clue if there are any in between 30 and 40.......but if its like the rest....I guess there should be a T37, its just not included in my set for some reason ....I checked the repair manuals I have and found no mention of what size the torx bit should be...sorry I couldn't be more helpful Quote
Brian P Posted January 21, 2003 Report Posted January 21, 2003 There is a T35 and a 37. T37 is rarely used, usually it's good for a stripped T35 bolt! Quote
Jon89le Posted January 21, 2003 Author Report Posted January 21, 2003 Is a T35 normally carried by stores? And do you know if this is what i need? Quote
