GP1138 Posted March 30, 2005 Report Share Posted March 30, 2005 I was looking at my trip computer reading -40* on the Exterior Temp today, thinking I have to get a temp sensor for it, but I then thought it might be cool if I hooked it up to my coolant temperature sensor just for kicks. Would this display a numerical temperature? For that matter, what would it display if, for shits and giggles, I hooked it to the oil pressure sensor (or it might just be a sender since I have an idiot light ) or the intake air temp sensor? My mind was imagining a second trip computer that I would relabel to display different sensors' readings, kind of like a readymade scan tool. Farfetched, yes. Possible? That's what I'm wondering.. I have a temp sensor in my intake displaying in my custom control panel where the cd tray used to be. side note its kinda odd that it came with a factory tapedeck and had cd holders.
