Darkness
I had the snorkel leading to the turbo off the other day, and I noticed that there was all kinds of grime in the throat of the turbo. The blades looked pretty clean, but it appeared that old oil or something had accumulated there. Is there an easy way to make sure my turbo is nice and clean while it is still on the car? Should I just shoot it down with some TB cleaner, or is that a bad idea? Does it need that oil crap in there to keep the impeller blades lubed? I dunno... My first turbo car, so I'd rather ask a stupid question than risk damaging it. Thanks.
90TGP
Just wiped down the inlet with some with some degreaser on a rag. Just make sure the degreaser is safe on aluminum. I would not spray it into the turbo it self. It might heat up and burn under the heat.
Darkness
Ok, I was kind of thinking that. I ended up just using a clean terrycloth towel and wiping it out. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't anything more I needed to do. Thanks
