gmrulz4u
For some reason, my 89 Supreme started doing this a few weeks ago...I don't know if it will get better when the temperature goes above 10 degrees farenheit... When I'm at a Stop, if I try to accelerate somewhat quickly, the car stutters until I've got steady speed...but, if I just accelerate slowly and smoothly, it doesn't do it... I'm 90% sure my fuel pump is "lazy"...
Guest Anonymous
How old is the fuel filter? That would be a cheap place to start. I had that problem once and changing the filter seemed to fix it.
gmrulz4u
Yeah...the fuel filter is less than a year old...
Guest Anonymous
What brand is it? Mine was less than 6 months old when it happened. Mine was a fram. That's why I won't buy anything fram. That and my TGP won't hardly run if I use one of their air filters.
gmrulz4u
I'll have it checked out on Wednesday...thanks for the suggestion...
Guest Anonymous
Check the air filter also. May not be the problem but do all the cheapest checks first.
supreme_style21
I had the same problem this summer. After 200 miles of trying to figure it out, it turned out the car had fried the ignition coil and was only firing 5 of the cylinders
