On the 3.4L DOHC, there are 3 metal coolant lines that connect to the LIM, so please, specify...

ok there's 2 on the lower intake on my 3.1 next to where the throttle body was

one is a metal line that bends around and connects on the front, i got this one off easy

the other is a metal line that connects towards the middle of the manifold, just straight in, and has some sort of quick disconnect adapter

I can't for the life of me get it to "quick disconnect" :bash:

I'm pretty sure it's the same thing Chris (White93Z34) broke on John's (GP1138) car

GM's quick connects are gay. It will have 2 tabs on it, and you need to squuze them together, then with some help from a prybar, it will pop out. This plastic piece surrounds the metal pipe, and together they go into a metal fitting that screws into the LIM. The tabs will push in, then it can slide out, of course with some help.

When reinstalling it, I suggest going to Advanced Auto parts, and buying a 1/2" NPT fitting into a 5/8" barbed line. Then buy 4" of 5/8" heater hose, and 2 small hose clamps. When reinstalling it, use the new parts, and just hose clamp it. It is much easier to install and remove, will not leak, and looks better.

thanks, i had the concept right...just not enough room to squeeze both tabs easily

I'll try it again tomorrow, i threw everything in my trunk, cause I can only work till 5 then my Dad needs the garage

I had to push my car back into the driveway
