Omega-Red Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 Guys I know projects like Z34 FW V6 were converted to V8 RWD. What I'm trying to find out is how effective this conversion is? As in what would you recommend on doing such a project and how much can it approximately cost? I've heard of Monte Carlo conversion. This guy put a Camaro floor panel on it and he made it LT1 RWD 450 HP. So it's possible I know that for sure. Open to any suguestions. Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 I saw a website where a guy made his Grand Prix into RWD (I forget what engine he put in it). It's a hell of alot of work, and you gotta figure out a way for a new gas tank (axles and shit will be taking space from the stock one). Maybe someone here has the link... Quote
5speedz34 Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 It was SoccerplayrGTP. I ll get his cardomain link later. Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted March 23, 2005 Report Posted March 23, 2005 It's not at all cost-effective. It's a lot of cutting and welding. IMO, getting a C5 Corvette rolling chassis would be the easiest and cleanest way to do it. Quote
