frank358fr
Hi all, The idle is not regular. Now my car give me the code 33(MAP sensor=signal voltage is high during engine idle. (Note: Engine misfire or unstable idle may cause this code). My car have a unstable idle. First question: Where is the MAP sensor(with pic if it possible) and second: What I need to do to repair the map sensor?? Thanks Frank
GutlessSupreme
The map sensor is located on a bracket on the back of the intake plenum crammed next to the firewall.
no1kicker
MAP is held on by one bolt (13mm I think) and a clip. Remove the bolt, then the clip, MAP comes right off. I don't think it's your MAP sensor. Code 33 means the MAP sensor is seeing low vacuum at idle. This can be caused by a loose vacuum line connection especially where the 4 lines go into the TB. I would check there first.
Rushman04
hey i had this code just the other day, it is because of a vacum leak. the map sensor isn't getting a good vacum. Check the vacum lines. The map sensor vacum line on the tb is the one closes to the fornt of the vechile. There is a picture of the vacum lince on the raditor suport member.
