Spoon Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 '92 cutlass supreme when car sits over night or sits for a few hrs, trany won't go into gear right away. (takes approx 20 sec.) Fluid level and color are ok. any ideas what could be causing this?? Quote
Robby1870 Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 Describe "wont go into gear right" in more detail, please Quote
sonyman87 Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 Pluged transmission filter. a pan service could give you a whole new story. Quote
THe_DeTAiL3R Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 leak in the vaccuum somewhere, bad tranny modulator could do it. Does it shift normal after you get it running? Quote
Spoon Posted March 21, 2005 Author Report Posted March 21, 2005 trany will not shift into any gear. yes once the trany is warm it works fine. seems like the trany is stuck in neutral at first. Quote
Bolt_Crank Posted March 22, 2005 Report Posted March 22, 2005 I have found, through "experiments" that redlining 1st/reverse w/o brakes or letting off the gas, for 15 minutes straight, makes 1st gear take a 45 minute power nap Quote
