frank358fr
I broke the right vacuum line by unscrewing the EGR, how could I fix the right vacuum line? Thanks Frank
Guest TurboSedan
that just goes to you canister purge solenoid, you don't really need it anyway. i seriously doubt it will throw a code, but it will give you a vacuum leak obviously. either break the hard line off shorter and plug it (for now) and go to the salvage yard to get a new replacement piece later. frank358fr
Ok but Did I need to change all my vacuum line or I can just change the right vacuum line?? Thanks Frank
Guest TurboSedan
you can just change that one; you don't have to change all of them. that one is only like 7" long and it doesn't even go under the plenum like the other smaller ones do (which are for the FPR, MAP and cruise control BTW ). just pull the old broken line out of the rubber fitting on top of the throttle body and push the new one back in (not all the way back in though). GnatGoSplat
I had 2 or 3 of those plastic tubes get brittle and break on my car. Instead of buying a new vacuum tube assembly, I just put some heatshrink tubing over the break and heated it up. Works good as new!
