skalor Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 An L67 swap is not any more difficult, just that the end result will always be more power with a turbo. The stock L67 puts down around 195-200whp. A turbo 3.1 with an upgraded turbo will easily make 250-275whp on 15psi. Does that guy honestly think there is more potential in a LG5 over an L67. If so, then the guy must be nuts. Quote

z34_nut Posted March 15, 2005 Report Posted March 15, 2005 in a way, it all seems immature. Dave, you signed, no warrenty? Jeff did some shitty work, granted, but you signed the papers. to me, it seems like both parties here are guilty of something. Quote

And as of 3 weeks ago, they were available for purchase. (at least thats what they told me) Shawn posted that over at ClubGP.... I'm gonna have to check that out  Quote

White93z34 Posted March 20, 2005 Report Posted March 20, 2005 from what he wrote over there it sounds to me that he, for the most part is in the right. and honestly 5000-7000 dosen't sound that bad for a complete vin t / 282 swap consideing he said he would source everyhting. no one seems to realise that things like that are time consumeing, and custom engine swaps cost alot at any shop thats even willing to touch something like that, and trust me there aren't many shops that would. would i pay that? hell no. i do my work myself. that way i keep my money and if something breaks i have only me to blame.
