recently sometimes when im driving slow, my car will just die... then i try to start it and it doesnt start (just keeps turning over). i wait a few minutes and it will start right up. i think its my fuel pump but who knows. anyone know what it could be? mike

get a fuel pressure gauge and find out.

check for spark while your at it.

ok i tested the valve on the end of the fuel rail.... it sprayed good at first.. then i drove my car until it died and when i tested it, it just sort of spilled out. whats this mean? clogged fuel filter??

Don't dive into that when it could be something else. I would replace the fuel filter. It's cheap and easy, and you probably need it anyway.

changed the fuel filter, checked for codes, checked fuel pressure and spark.

im gona try the crank position sensor tomorrow. some mechanics plus some people on here said it might be this. its not too expensive either so ill take my chance.

I had the same problem with my 91 GP STE, it has the 3.4 V6 24 Valve engine. Last spring I changed the CPS, fuel filter, checked a bunch of stuff, everything checked out ok. It ran ok until Oct then started doing the same thing, I drove it home one day, parked it, and it hasn't started since. Just last night the Pres. of PACGP came over and was working on it. He was checking the injectors and accidently cut the wire to one injector and voila it started - it was only running on 5 cylinders but it was running. It seems the wireing to that injector was shorting the system out, causing all the injectors not to work. So now I have to test the rest of the injectors and replace the one that is shorting out.

I don't know if this will be of any help in your situation, but I figured I'd tell you what happened in my case.
