demon77
I was reading my haynes repair manual and it says to change the back plugs you need a special tool to get a heat shield off do you?
sl3196
Bull! Here's how to do it: Push in the heat sheild and then twist the fuck out of the spark plug wire boot. Should hear or feel a pop. Then just yank real hard. Make sure you pull on the boot not the wire! Also I took off that engine bracket that holds the engine cover on, much easier access. 5speedz34
SL, can you unbolt the dogbones and then rock the engine forward then put the bolt thru a hole on the coil pack to hold the engine forward while doing the rear plugs? Yeah but the hole is on the mount coming off the engine. Also take off that bracket in the rear that holds on the engine cover (2 bolts) make is alot easier. john99gtp
good lucj its such a pain if the boots havent been off, i took needle nose to my rear ones. they were such a bitch. and just rock the engine forward and put the parking brake on, that will be fine. i worked around that bracket that holds the engine cover on, just watch out for the o2 sensor, its a bit sharp
