Guest TurboSedan
i need to mount my TGP wastegate solenoid tomarrow....does anyone have a close up pic of it that they can post or email me? debaser@turbosedan.com i won't actually be using the solenoid, but it will need to be mounted & plugged in even though i'll have a grainger valve controlling the actual wastegate. Jcrow
Woah hey, why does it have to be plugged in? I heard it wont cause a check engine light if its not there. Or am I wrong?
god910
That computer doesn't give a shit whether it's there or not. No handshake on boost control. Josh, holla.
Guest TurboSedan
ahh ok i thought the vacuum lines could be left unplugged but the weatherpack connector had to be plugged in or i'd get a SES light. i wasn't really sure about it i guess. so i can just tuck the connector out of the way behind the waterneck or something? i'd rather not even mount it so i can have a cleaner looking engine bay. GutlessSupreme
i'd rather not even mount it so i can have a cleaner looking engine bay. The way GM mounted them looks like shit.. goes all the way halfway across the plenum and has a bracket that goes on with one of the plenum bolts. Looks very thrown in.
