GP1138
Alright, here's the deal. My engine performance class tonight was doing top end cleaner, the GM kind, and I had never ran any in my new car. So I get to sucking the shit up through the vacuum hose on my brake booster, and as I'm doing so, there's smoke coming up through the intake manifolds... is this a bad sign? I've never seen that happen on my old 2.8 before. :? If the intake gaskets are indeed going... my 3400 top end swap will be VERY soon... mfewtrail
Cracked vacuum line under the plenum maybe?
GP1138
Cracked vacuum line under the plenum maybe? No, I wish. It was coming directly from the lower manifolds.

Ah, let me guess, from the corner of the lower intake on the drivers side? Take some carb cleaner or something similar and spray it around the lower intake while the engine is running and you should be able to determine whether or not you've got a leak there. GP1138
Bump: haven't gotten any carb cleaner, but I might head out to meijer's tonight and test that theory..
