Mike J. Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 Can anyone confirm that GTP's or any other w-body, besides TGP's get this size tire on there car ? Quote
SuperBuick Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 Yes, on TGPs 89-90 and on GTPs 91-92 (possibly 93) they were an option, but only with the 8 inch wheels. -Tom Quote
Paul GTP Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 91 GTP 5Speed Sticker in the trunk 245/50/16 Quote
Mike J. Posted January 16, 2003 Author Report Posted January 16, 2003 Does anyone also no what all colors of wheels these tires would be available on from the factory ? While I'm asking, were there any 5-speed Richard Petty editions made ? Any 5-speed Dale Earnhart versions ? Quote
GnatGoSplat Posted January 16, 2003 Report Posted January 16, 2003 Yes, there were 5-speed Petty edition cars, I've seen them on Ebay. I think all crosslace 89-93 came with 245/50R16. I don't think they started putting 225/60R16 on the crosslace until 94. Quote

Nope...BOTH my GP's...(one SE and one GT) have 225/60/R16's and both have the same crosslace wheels, that are EIGHT inches wide... Quote
digitaloutsider Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 Any particular reason you had to bump up a nearly four year old thread to say that? Quote

TurboSedan Posted December 12, 2006 Report Posted December 12, 2006 The big black bitch had the 225 on 8" wide wheels factory......it got 245/50/16 Kumho 711s. i just put 245/50 Kumho ECSTA 711s on my 16x8 GP crosslace wheels two days ago. they look wayyy better than the old 225/60s! handles better too but still spinning mad tire through 2nd gear you can put 245/50-16s on a 7" wheel according to this website: http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible.html scroll about 1/2 way down the page until you see "An ideal rim-width calculator" on the left side of the page. 7" is the minimum though.
