92chevyeuro
Well guys, my grandmothers 95 Regal wont start. I went over today and charged the battery and it turns over but will not start. She goes to Florida every winter so the car sits alot. It only has 17,000 miles on it. Im thinking the engine is all gummed up inside from not being run. What do you guys think I should do?
terryk2003
i'd start by making sure its getting fuel and spark...then you might wanna pull one of the plugs and see if its fouled (from trying to get it started)...that's where i'd start...then go from there... 92chevyeuro
I got it started. It took me a couple of tries, but she fired up. I took it for a ride and let it warm up real good also. I love that car. Its so smooth and has some get up and go. Thanks for your help. EurosportZ34
17K...wow that is excellent for a '95!! do the Regal a favor and start it up every once in a while when your Gma is in FL. i have a hard time to find the time to do that to my Lumina during the winter and it always takes her a couple good starts and drives before she's OK again...it's a bitch. DiscoStudd
What they said. Be sure you change the oil at least twice a year so you get all of the condensation and whatnot out of the crankcase. Sure, you could just burn it off by running the motor, but you don't want any of that crap getting in the motor when you first start it up. Â Got any pics of that Regal? ZeroDCX
 Only 17,000mi on a 95'... Damn and here I thought that I was doing good with 82,000mi on my 92' Custom. But yeah, be sure to start her up once in a while and change the oil at least twice a year (due to condensation) as stated before by the fellow W-Body enthusiasts. Pics would be nice though ...
