HokemBokem Posted February 26, 2005 Report Posted February 26, 2005 When I did seafoam my car didnt smoke at all. I think it was because of my recent engine rebuild though. Quote
streetdreams Posted February 27, 2005 Report Posted February 27, 2005 hey call BS all you want. long as it dont go in my car why would I care, do what u want Quote
riceca Posted February 27, 2005 Report Posted February 27, 2005 Do what everyone else has said but also change the oil right before you take it to get it checked again. Trust me this works. My friend used to work at a GM dealership and they would do this (among other things) to get cars to pass emissions. lata CHRIS Quote
cutlsp Posted February 27, 2005 Report Posted February 27, 2005 i normally change the oil the day before for some reason thats the best performance i don't know why but it is :? Quote
riceca Posted February 27, 2005 Report Posted February 27, 2005 It may work in mysterious ways....But none the less it definetly works! Quote
Jeorge Posted February 27, 2005 Report Posted February 27, 2005 also make sure your car is Up to temp when you do the test I hear that helps alot too... Quote
cutlsp Posted February 27, 2005 Report Posted February 27, 2005 first do an oil change and get this stuff called rxp i use it then fill up your gas tank and dump the rxp in it. then do a 3 hour highway drive once your done with that drive around the city for about 30-45 minutes and see if the car passes emissions then. i got one thing to say about emissions testing :flip: once my suburban is 25 years old i won't have to worry about it any more and i can do whatever i want to it Quote
riceca Posted February 27, 2005 Report Posted February 27, 2005 once my suburban is 25 years old i won't have to worry about it any more and i can do whatever i want to it I hear you on this one....Everything else I own is pre emissions other than my Regal. But as luck may have it here in TN where I live we dont have to deal with emissions crap. But when I lived in Charlotte, NC it was definetly a big thing. That is where I learned all the tricks My car that I had when I lived there was actually cleaner when it had 100,000 miles on it than when it was new! hahahah lata CHRIS Quote
cutlsp Posted February 27, 2005 Report Posted February 27, 2005 thats the way my cutlass is to i do the tricks i listed before and while i'm waiting for them to get to my car i leave it idleing so it stays warm Quote
ShockTherapy Posted February 28, 2005 Report Posted February 28, 2005 oilchange, seafoam, and then for good measure, you can't go wrong with a bottle of STP Quote
