dikk Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 Where's the ecm fuse located on a gp 1990? If anyone can post a picture or a good description or whatever, that would be awesome! I'm going to do an idle relearn as described here: http://www.60degreev6.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Sections&file=index&req=viewarticle&artid=22 kind regards sir's. Quote
1990lumina Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 Its in the engine bay around the general area of the Postive Aux. battery cale/terminal. I think there is a plastic cover that says ECM Fuse, you pop the cover off and it is just a standard sized fuse. Pull the fuse, leave her off for a few seconds pop it back in. Start the car put it in drive and run for 5-7 mins. Shut down engine, restart and do the same thing - put in drive and run for 5-7mins. Shut down, idle is learned. - Jeff L. Quote
1990lumina Posted February 18, 2005 Report Posted February 18, 2005 I'm pretty sure that little black box circled in green is where the fuse is located. At least it is on a my 1990 Lumina and it should be the same as the GP? - Jeff L. Quote
dikk Posted February 18, 2005 Author Report Posted February 18, 2005 Many thanks... It looks exactly the same under my hood, so that should be it! Quote
Prospeeder Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 well in the flue panel int he glove box, theres also a fuse that says ECM under it, and in the ECM and Fuel pump thingy under tthe hood it has a fuse, are there 2? Quote
5speedz34 Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 To do a Idle relearn you can also just take off the battery cables and do it like that. Quote
Prospeeder Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 have you seen where the batterys are in the 3.1s? taking out the fuse is alot easier Quote
mfewtrail Posted February 20, 2005 Report Posted February 20, 2005 have you seen where the batterys are in the 3.1s? taking out the fuse is alot easier The negative battery cable is easily accessible on a 3.1, just use a wrench and it takes a few seconds to remove. Quote
