Guest TurboSedan Posted February 15, 2005 Report Posted February 15, 2005 just a tip for installing axle seals.... i got this thing at ACE hardware. i think it's some kind of electrical conduit coupler, but the outer diameter fits around an axle seal's lip perfectly. cost less than $2 IIRC works great! Did you get the correct tool to pull them with? yeah i had some ultra-cheapo seal puller and i just broke it two days ago trying to pull the old seal out :? i usually end up breaking out the vice grips and tap around the lip with a small flatblade screwdriver, then end up tearing up the old seal just prying it out. old axle seals are usually stuck in pretty good from my experience.
