Heza
well, was changing the tranny fluid on my old '94 GP 3100 and saw that the oil pan had oil on it. i tried to trace where it was coming from, but couldn't really tell if it was the oil pan gasket or the rear main. my question is, how much of a pain in the ass is it to pull the oil pan off? anything other than the flywheel inspection cover and starter need to get moved out of the way? SleeperRed90TGp
If it's the rear main seal you have to pull the motor, it's one piece and goes around the crank from the rear of the block. The pan is a PIA in itself. :cuss: :cuss: Support the motor from the top, disconnect the stering shaft and motor mounts, drop the front of the cradle, remove starter and front motor mount. Mabey the oil filter cooler if you have one and now you can get to the pan. It's a days job. Don't forget to line the cradle up when you put it back together.
