havikx
i'm thinkin about it guys. my 3.4 engine just died and i need to get the car fixed for a few reasons. i dont want another 3.4...well pre monte 3.4 anyway. would this be possible. i'm talkin series 2 3800 and maybe the s/c application. i dont think there is much of a difference. would it fit with tranny and cradle and all? White93z34
you woulden't be the first. you can swap in a 95+ 3.4 very easily and pick up a few extra HP doin it.
terryk2003
it SHOULD work with the cradle...but, you'd need the 4T65E transmission...so you'd need the engine & trans, and wiring harness & computer for the L67...check out http://www.l67swap.com
94CutlassSLCoupe
the l36 could use your current transmission (3800 SII)...i know 96 and 97 models still used the 4t60-e

THe_DeTAiL3R
I would just spend the money on a newer Grand Prix and scrap the Chevy. JMO though.

gp90se
go get a 3x00, it bolts in, uses the stock tranny, just need the 3100 chip and wiring harness if u dont wanna move the 4 or 5 wires that are different from the stock harness. the 3x00 is cheap 2 buy, simple 2 maintain, spunky and go forever. Baddflash
Cheapest , fastest go buy something else to drive and leave that car a 3.4L. Then you could take your time fixing the motor.

If you need a site on how to pull out a motor, then drop in one that is a direct bolt in, and uses the same harness that is in your car(besides for the 4 or 5 plugs, which are cake to move around), then doing an L67 swap definately isn't for you. It wouldn't fit because of the extra power. the 4T65-E is more of an HD tranny. Plus, the 3.4 is a 60* V6, and the l67 is a 90*, so the casing is different, IIRC.
