The only thing that has ever happened is it misfired for about 10 minutes until the coil cleared up. But that coil cuts out anytime it gets wet, or it is really humid outside. 99RegalGS Posted February 3, 2005 Report Share Posted February 3, 2005 My Regal engine has always stayed pretty clean. I cleaned it with a power washer once about 2.5 years ago. I didn't cover anything. Just made sure not to soak the alt or the coils. She started up right away and had a slight miss for about 10 seconds. That was all that happened.
