sonyman87
Well today for several hours my car told me i had low oil.. no big deal i stoped by the local walmart and picked up 2 quarts. i go to see how low it was and it was Full just like nomral wtf! i get in drive off and everything is fine but the light is still on. several hours later i get in and its still on. i drive ~70miles then stop to get gas check oil again still full. get in start the car and the light turns off.. this was really weird. All i can think is that there was a short, or maybe my oilpump was messed up temperarily, maybe a clocked oil filter? any ideas on this? at this moment the light is off and the oil is 5w30 mobil 1 syntheitc, ruffly 3k on the oil so its still good. oil filer is STP time to be changed soon. any input is welcome
WhiteOut
Faulty sensor. Mine does that occasionally, most notably when damp or very cold outside. A new one is around $30.
5speedz34
Yeah, I would say replace the sender unit. It's down by the starter and oil filter.
