Garrett8 Posted January 28, 2005 Report Posted January 28, 2005 any gains to be made here from getting it ported and polished? Quote
NOHC_WBody Posted January 28, 2005 Report Posted January 28, 2005 2-8 hp. Not worth the time, money or effort unless you do the heads & have the manifolds extrude honed as well. Quote
90TGP Posted January 28, 2005 Report Posted January 28, 2005 Unless you are rebuiliding your engine for performance, there isn't much gain. You would get the same amount of gain from getting an underdrive pully from http://www.fastfwdperformance.com Quote
99RegalGS Posted January 28, 2005 Report Posted January 28, 2005 I'f you're going to even try to port an intake, get a 96 manifold. The intake ports are bigger. Quote

It's like pulling the diff in a rwd vehicle to swap it out for an LSD...if you're gonna do it, you might as well upgrade the ring & pinion gears as well to something numerically higher to take advantage of the extra traction available with the LSD.
