Robby1870
Anyone off hand know the impedence of the 6.5" door speakers in STEs? I know the rear 6x9s are 4ohm and I assume the fronts are also 4ohm, but just wanted to check and see if anyone knew
LukeZ34
probably the same as the others.. 4, 6 or 10 ohms are what GM seems to use.
Bossman429
I don't remember seeing it stamped on the magnet last time I had my door panel apart. the tweeter plugs into the wires through the door, then splits the signal to the woofer if I remember right, I would guess 4 ohm, but with that split reveals the possibility of running either parallell, or series wiring, which could mean...who knows what kind of crazy impedance they may use, but most car setups use 4 ohm ultimately, how they get there is a matter of wiring techniques and speaker impedence.
