DiscoStudd
Here's a strut brace I found for a 97-03 GP whilst browsing e-Bay. Seeing as the part you can buy from GM for the Gen 2 W's will fit on the Gen 1's, anybody know if it's possible to modify this to fit a Gen 1? I suppose for $22, it would definitely be worth a look! I also found it on ProCarParts's "Home Page" and they want $48.40! I've always wondered why they sell their stuff at almost half-price on eBay. I think I'm going to buy one of those braces off of eBay (when I get my OTTO overlay) just for shits and giggles and see what it'll take to get it to fit. At the very least, I'd probably have to cut a bit out of the bar and/or reposition the mounting plates...
GnatGoSplat
Nope, won't fit. I think it was patgizz that tried one. I think he said the plates were too far apart and the bolt holes were in the wrong places. Too much wrong to make it work. The OEM one fits because it's just a bar with no plates, you attach it to your existing plates.
WhiteOut
Just keep an eye out for a Cutlass Convertible in the local junkyard, or do a search on http://www.uneedapart.com. A warning though, if you've got the 3.4 installing the strut bar will make removing the plug wires all but impossible without damaging them (personal experience).
