THe_DeTAiL3R
Today my car was making a high pitch noise- when the engine on or off. It sounded like it was coming from the dash area. Sounds sorta like when your ears are ringing. Any idea what it could have been?

DiscoStudd
leaky capacitors will make a squealing noiseEspecially the Flux Capacitor when you hit 88 mph! Seriously though, which capacitors do you speak of?
rudefyet
any really maybe on of the electronic circuit boards inside his dash (gauges, stereo, etc.) has a leaky capacitor on it's circuit board just an idea....usually it's a really silent squeal though.....prolly wouldn't hear it unless there was complete silence
THe_DeTAiL3R
Yeah it wasn't very loud, once you start driving it pretty much covers the sound. Not a blower motor.. it did it with everything on the car turned off.
