GrimZ34
you really dont get alot of hp gain unless you sc, turbo or nos it, but then you are running into a lot of more things time and monry becouse you need souped up parts to be able to handle the extra power

Aaron
With a ffp dogbone, dynomax mufflers, CAI, cat converter how many hp will i gain The only thing that will give you any power is the CAI, and I speak from experience. My exhaust did very little, if anything, for power. Now after everything else I've done it probably helps a lot, but without, they just made my car sound better. And GrimZ34 you are incorrect, there are at least 3 people running forced induction on a stock internals motor, and they use them as daily, dependable, drivers. And also, you can hain power without boost, and I plan on proving it.

Aaron, mine and your cars both show that it is possible to really mod this engine and get some good numbers out of it without boost.

timg
ditch the cat and with the above mods you can get at least 15 hp peak, and even more elsewhere. With a stock engine I put down 165hp (about average). After a 2.5" exhaust (straight through with no cats) and HAI I got roughly 180hp at the wheels. I have a dyno chart of my car after the HAI and exhaust on my cardomain page. Tim
Aaron
Maybe your exhaust was in a lot worse shape than mine, I don't know. I wish I had a dyno, but I am just going on the assadyno. The WAI helps more than you think, and it shocked the hell outta me what the CAI did.

The WAI helps more than you think, and it shocked the hell outta me what the CAI did. The HAI/WAI seemed to help all over. The exhaust (2.5" from downpipe back) and especially removing the cat really helped top end. The exhaust was the reason why my dyno chart levels off and stays over 175 all the way to redline. It is also what caused my tranny to start slipping on the 1-2 shift. Tim
Aaron
From what I noticed, the exhaust did nothing for my car, I could barely tell it was there over the one I had. But it did sound awesome.
Canada
I didn't dyno the exhaust on the Beretta directly......but basing it off my pulls and other charts I have found online....my exhaust (2.25" mandrel bent, high flow cat, and a Dynomax Ultraflo muffler) made 6-7 whp going from the stock 2" crush bent pipe. Now that I have a 3400, I need to go to 2.5".
