SigEpCutlass Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 a good place to see what can be done to a 3.4 is at RSM. they offer a lot of performance parts/upgrades that are expensive. You can either buy from them or use their ideas to create your own custom stuff as some people have done. http://www.rsmracing.com There are a lot of guys that have done some pretty extensive work to their 3.4's, who i'm sure will post more stuff later. Welcome. 8) Quote
Dannymik Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 welcome to the board and goodluck with the Cutty. Now the guy to talk to about the 3.4 would be Aaron since he's the "king" of the LQ1. So Aaron could you help this guy? Quote
NOHC_WBody Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 Well, first things first, pull the front timing belt inspection cover & see what kind of shape the belt's in. If it's frayed/worn/there's a lot of hair under the cover, change it as soon as you can. +1 vote for RSM...there's not much other aftermarket for the LQ1. Quote
Dannymik Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 jeez you better get some pictures posted of this thing! Quote
Crimson Fury Z Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 http://www.fastfwdperfromance.com or ask vegeta aboot the chips, or hop over to http://www.60degreev6.com and see whats there Quote
Intlcutlass Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 First thing to check is the belt!! Quote
mfewtrail Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 As far as plugs/wires go, the stock parts are adequate. As someone else suggested check out the 60* V6 board, they have a 3.4 DOHC specific area and tons of questions about the 3.4 have already been answered there(and some here, if you search through old posts). Good luck w/ the car, sounds like you got a nice one. Quote
SigEpCutlass Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 rsm can eat a dick. damn it i knew I was forgetting somebody...Ben makes great chips for the 3.4's and they're not too expensive like all the stuff from RSM. Quote
SigEpCutlass Posted January 7, 2005 Report Posted January 7, 2005 that's a really nice looking 4dr you have there from what I can see. I like that color! Woohoo another 4dr cutty! 8) Quote
GP1138 Posted January 9, 2005 Report Posted January 9, 2005 Very nice color, but I hate those wheels. But still, nice car! Quote
