bigbadspoon Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 I was browsing Autozone.com to find a repair guide for my messed up EGR and I noticed that it says you need a new gasket after taking off what's on there. I'm still pretty new to all of this, so I would appreciate if someone could tell me why I can't re-use the old gasket even if it is a little bit aged. (I know they're cheap, I just don't want to go out and buy one unless i absolutely must. It's the principal of it, I guess.) Thanks a bunch! Oh, also...Does anyone know where I could get a decent torque wrench (about 5-75 pounds worth is all i need) without spending a whole ton of money? Quote
Slade901 Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 I have re-used EGR gaskets as long as they are not torn. Check HarborFreight.com and they usually have local stores. Check their site to find local harborfreight in your area. Quote
