Lookin at buyinig a car In florida live in Minnesota , my truck would never make it that far so I was wondering about shippin.. Has anyone ever shiped a car ?? how and how much???

and what section would that be.. Its a genral question haveing to do with a w-body.

To answer your question though, it's not cheap. I'm pretty sure it would be cheaper for you to fly one way to florida and drive the car back.

I know that to ship a car from CA to PA would be over $1000 so you absolutely would be better off flying in and driving home.

It depends a lot on what kind of car it is. Obviously a Hummer is gonna cost more to ship than a Ford Taurus. It depends on which company, also.

I was lookin at buying a mint condition body wise.. still had a front valance 90 tgp ... fer a mer 200 bad head gasket.

Yah shipping isn't cheap, I believe the cheapest I found, FL to CO, uncovered, was like 650.

just go get it yourself! have a buddy go with you, in his car of course, and go get it....that's a good reason for a road trip! :wink:

I dont have a trailer that I can take .. or a tow dollie.

u can always do the u-haul thing...u rent the truck from them and a dollie.

 

I remember when I was going to buy a TGP in Iowa I contacted a bunch of companies about shipping the car to Buffalo. The lowest quote I recieved was $625. BTW didnt one of the guys on this board buy it....I think his screen name is Nick???
