Penix Bowties Posted January 5, 2005 Report Posted January 5, 2005 From what I've heard (no first hand experience), the stock GM coils on our cars are pretty potent, and switching to MSD coils won't make much of a difference under normal driving conditions. Apparently the only real difference they make is under sudden heavy acceleration when you run into a temporary rich condition, but even then, the benefit is only temporary. Worth the $35x3 or so? At that price I'm not so sure, but if you got a deal on em off of E-bay... Just a couple pennies from my pocket - Joel Penick Quote
sonyman87 Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 is msd suppose to have a rapid spark? instead of igniting once it does it like 3+ times during combustion cycle? Quote
90TGP Posted January 6, 2005 Author Report Posted January 6, 2005 That's with the MSD ignition boxes. Quote
sonyman87 Posted January 6, 2005 Report Posted January 6, 2005 That's with the MSD ignition boxes. then that would probably be the way to go for performance Quote
