Guest Anonymous Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 When did the electronic tranny;s come into production on GP's? Would my 92 w/ the 3.4 have the 4t60-e? Quote
rudefyet Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 well the 4T60E was put on all models as of 92 but i'm pretty sure all 3.4 DOHC engines had a HD version of the 4T60E Quote
patgizz Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 all dohc autos were 4t60-e. 93 was first year of the e trans in others. Quote
Guest Anonymous Posted January 2, 2005 Report Posted January 2, 2005 Thank You... I may hold onto the car for a little while, and if I replace the engine I want to do the tranny as well... I just wasn't sure which it was. Quote

Grand Moff Joseph Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 I reviewed the above mentioned webpage, and it shows that luminas with the 3.1L eventually got the 4T60E as well. Would it be safe to think that a 4T60E would fit any lumina with a 3.1, or do they have a specific bolt pattern for each tranny? Quote
GutlessSupreme Posted January 4, 2005 Report Posted January 4, 2005 It would bolt up, but you still need the proper computer and such. Quote
