Can you please make a post that makes some fucking sense?

Well said.

The switch is exclusive to the Grand Prix. Thats about the only thing I can pull from this.

The 'Preview' button at the bottom.. use it then. Nobody can understand what you're posting.

The second gear start does what it says... starts the car in second gear.. most useful for icy/low traction situations. In all honesty, its utterly worthless in said conditions. A good driver will be able to start out better with no 'Second Gear Start' than a bad driver with 'Second Gear Start.'

I've actually noticed it easier to remove the car from snowdrifts with SGS on. Dayton just got done with 16+ inches of the stuff, and I used Second Gear Start liberally driving through my neighborhood, which did not get plowed. Much less wheelspin with SGS on, so no, it's not utterly worthless.

I dunno.. I hate it for the most part. The only time I find myself using it is in extreme slick conditions. It all depends on accelerator pedal modulation... go light on the gas and it seems to be the same to me. I guess it has its place... but its usually 'off' for me. I wouldn't take it out of the car, but I wouldn't pay extra for it.

i just find it funny that this topic has come up at least 56438272382 times and hell i was able to figgure out what it did when i saw it in a junkyard car. if its labled as "Second Gear Start" i have a really good feeling that it starts the car in second gear.

it grounds a pin on the ecm, which disables the first gear from being selected, from what I know its only an option on GP's, its only with the 4t-60e, and its not worthless, however it doesn't mean your car is capable of anything cool. Less wheel spin, lighten your foot. simple as that. geez.
