just wondering, would the turbo setup work on the 2.8 motors as well?

Sure does! Since a 3.1L is just a stroked 2.8L

And I bet a 2.8 would liek the factory TGP turbo a bit more than the 3.1 does, I know the 3.1 TGPS run out of breath at 5,000rpm. But that not be all the turbos fault.

i'm finishing up my Turbo Cutlass project as well. i'm picking up my rebuilt TGP cylinder heads from the machine shop on Monday and i can finally get this engine together!

i got an entire Turbo 3.1 engine from a local salvage yard that had a '90 Turbo STE. i found a melted piston after i pulled one of the heads off, so i'm turbocharging my original NA 3.1 instead.

i like the idea of adding TGP parts to a 2.8....even better would be a 2.8 crank in a 3400 block.

the reason I asked about it, is because at some point we might do that turbo setup to our A-body Celebrity.

Question now is... WHY???

I mean, sleeper, yes. But ugly ass sleeper.

I might not do it anyway, as it was just a thought and not to mention nobody would ever expect a turbo in a Celebrity. Currently my main focus is working on the Cutlass to be road worthy before I can get it legal to drive. I would never turbo the DOHC, I like the engine just the way it is.
