Psych0matt Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 Yeah, so I finally got the good 'ol dohc back and running after the blowing out of the timing belt a while ago. I really think it was worth the spending about 150 in parts and doing it all myself. I don't think I ever want to have to do that again, but at least I'll know how if I have to. sigh, now I can work on other things and not have to worry about how much longer it's going to sit in the garage not moving :-D Oh yeah, and a big thanks to everyone on here I used for help (in other posts and such) theres no way I woulda been able to do it otherwise Quote
Nick1234 Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 glad to hear you did it on your own. It always feels good to save money and know that you did the work yourself. Is it hard to get the timing all lined up and figured out. I have never worked on a dohc/sohc motor before and i was wondering if it is a challengin job. Quote
SigEpCutlass Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 you saved yourself a f'in fortune doing that on your own. Good work 8) Quote
88Regal Limited Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 how long did it take you.... Probly took him long enough. Congrats doin the work urself. Quote
Psych0matt Posted December 30, 2004 Author Report Posted December 30, 2004 well, on and off for about a week whenever I knew what to do next all together probably about 6 hours, but now that I've done it I could hypothetically do it in 3 or 4 Quote
