TheCutlassGuru Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 can anyone tell me all the cutlass models that had the decklid spoiler? i know most convertibles had them and the 97 coupe but which year did they start putting them on? thanx 8) Quote
supreme_style21 Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 I don't think any other model got that style spoiler. Just the 'verts (and that was part of an option pkg) and the '97 coupes. Don't think I've seen the coupes prior to 1997 with one. Quote

Brian P Posted December 29, 2004 Report Posted December 29, 2004 BZZZ! Look it up: It can be found on pre-97 coupes usually twin cam equipped. It was also standard on all 1992-1993 Cutlass International coupes. But since the Intl Series wasn't a high seller during those years, and the twin cam was an option on the BASE model, they're typically hard to find. Pic in a minute. Quote

Dannymik Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 it just hit me that when I looked at those pictures I miss my Cutlass...it "was" one hell of a good car for the 6 yrs I owned it. Quote
WhiteOut Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 In 94' through 96' the spoiler was available only as part of the sport equipment package that came with the 3.4 DOHC motor. In 97' it was standard on all Cutlass models. 93' was the only year you could get a 3.1 Cutlass with the spoiler pacakage, assuming of course that you got an international model. The spoiler package was not available before 93. Quote
GutlessSupreme Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 I've seen one on a 3100 powered '94 coupe in the junkyard... Quote
TheCutlassGuru Posted December 30, 2004 Author Report Posted December 30, 2004 very informative WhiteOut, thanks Quote

I have interior shots of that car with graphite lumbars. Quote

I thought the Cutlass didn't get the exterior facelift untill the 93' model year, and the lip spoiler and lights were only available with the freshened exterior package. Quote
TheCutlassGuru Posted December 30, 2004 Author Report Posted December 30, 2004 they restyled the front end in 92 Quote
SigEpCutlass Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 they restyled the front end in 92 that is correct. Quote
Brian P Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 yup, '92 For the CS, '91 for the GP. I don't think the '92 had the "spoiler package" I think you had to get the International package to get it. Quote
TheCutlassGuru Posted December 30, 2004 Author Report Posted December 30, 2004 i think the spoiler will look sweet on my 89 but i might have to modify the taillights or the bumper slightly since there is no chrome strip under the lights with the spoiler Quote
99RegalGS Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 WOW, that looks really good. Quote
Brian P Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 WOW, that looks really good. Yup! That's the definition of "loaded". I'll see if I can find the interior pics, it'll surprise you... Quote
jeremy Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 WOW, that looks really good. I think the rims make it look like total a$$ Quote
Carotop Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 I want to swap one of those onto my CS but the junkyards around here either break the lights or throw them. Quote
99RegalGS Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 I think the rims make it look like total a$$ I don't think they look too bad, but it looks like maybe they used a different color paint on them to make them look brighter, I dunno. but I think they look nice in that picture. Quote
Brian P Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 1992 exclusive interior: (Lumbar controlled fronts, perforated leather center)) Quote
99RegalGS Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 looks nice, but I like the pattern on the seats in my cutlass better. Quote
rudefyet Posted December 30, 2004 Report Posted December 30, 2004 looks nice, but I like the pattern on the seats in my cutlass better. yeah the old person look.... Quote
