fargo_182
Does anyone use or know of a good quality spray to pu ton the weather stripping around the doors to prevent the door and stripping from freeing together and will last a lil while? or at least aid in preventing alot of it? Wd-40 doesnt work for long at all and I don't want to break the handles in this weather. Thanks in advance Fargo:
Justin
I've heard of people using petroleum jelly I guess. You in Fargo ND? I'm up in Grand Forks.
Guest Anonymous
Petroleum jelly is supposed to work good.

kcac
I've used Sil-Glyde (purchased it at NAPA) on weatherstripping. It is silcone, but with the same consistency as petroleum jelly. http://www.agscompany.com/productFS/lubes/sl29.html
GnatGoSplat
Silicone grease is what GM recommends. I never did like the spray, it never lasted long enough. The grease lasts much longer. Petroleum jelly should work in winter, but it liquifies in hot weather. I just used a big tube of Permatex Di-electric grease. It works wonderfully to stop leaks on the convertible for LOOOONG periods of time.
DOHCRagtopguy
CRC Heavy Duty Silicone works excellent, part number 05074.
paulo57509
Silicone attracts too much dirt and grime. You can get this stuff called 303 Protectant at Ace hardware (in the automotive aisle). Much better than silicone, IMO.
