CuttySup
So last night, I was driving down the expressway, I go to exit, and as I'm pulling up to the stop sign at the end of the ramp, my "door ajar" chime starts going off. I've never heard of this happening, and I didn't know how to stop it. I ended up pulling over and shutting the car off and restarting it and it shut off and works fine. The ABS light had been on for the duration of the 30 min. trip. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Any ideas?
DiscoStudd
Was your turn signal on at the time? If so, it was most likely the "Turn Signal Reminder Chime" letting you know you've left your signal on too long. I think it goes off if you've been driving above a certain speed for over a minute with the signal on... You mention the ABS light being on. You might want to check the tightness of the nut on your Auxillary Positive Terminal (use a 15mm deep-well socket, and be careful not to hit the end of the ratched on anything metal...) That's so gay! Know that I think of it, my turn signal was on for the length of the ramp. I have an electronic flasher which makes the tick that the turn signals make a lot quieter. When I merged from the highway to the decceleration lane I had my right turn signal on, and forgot to turn it off once I completed the manuver. So it was on a whole TEN SECONDS
White93z34
i think the alarm comes on after a 1/4 mile, but i have no way of verifying that since mine is disabled.
