no1kicker Posted December 27, 2004 Report Posted December 27, 2004 How important is an exhaust temp gauge? I've read that it's good to tell if you're running rich/lean esp for turbo cars. How bout for n/a, and supercharged cars as well? Quote
1990lumina Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 I've always been told if your running a stock setup then you don't have to worry much about EGTs as the factory setup should run at a safe specification. However, as with anything I guess it wouldn't hurt to know how hot everything is getting. Especially with turbos I believe they are important because you run the risk of burning up the turbo if things are to hot. As for supercharged, I don't know if it as important because the supercharged into sucking in hot exhaust gases. For N/A I'd say it isn't very important, but if your modding what the hell, add one in that would be kind of cool to see in a W-Body!! - Jeff L. Quote
Aaron Posted December 28, 2004 Report Posted December 28, 2004 Most people add one when they add a WBO2 Quote
