94CutlassSLCoupe
I was looking on Fastchip's website and it shows a plug in module for the 1994 3.1L (3100)...(http://www.fastchip.com/94.htm) anyone use it? I would only go with the stage 1 since the car is my daily driver and I put a lot of miles on it, so I like to run the cheap gas. Thanks
digitaloutsider
I'd like to see a comparison between Ben's chip and their chip for my car. I don't honestly know if FastChip is good or not. If they're anything like hypertech..
THe_DeTAiL3R
$300 ouch Could probably get some exhaust or intake work done for that price that would bennefit more.
DiscoStudd
Sounds to me like they send you the entire PCM (hence the $300 price tag versus $150 for a chip...) FYI, I saw them listed for the 95 3100's as well...

Heza
dyno charts for all major chips http://www.techvelocity.com/gtp/chip.htm 3.4 DOHC, but cant be far off from 3100.

Yeah, sure does look like a complete waste of money. I bet a fartcan would produce more HP and TQ than that chip would . (Not that I would ever condone putting a fartcan on a W! ) If you have a 3100 and want more impressive HP gains for that kind of money, swap in a 3400. 20 hp and 10 lb/ft (or is it 20 and 20? 180hp/205lb/ft for the 3400 sounds about right) versus half a horse and six tenths of a lb/ft of torque (probably even less on a 3100) ? Sounds like a no-brainer to me!
94CutlassSLCoupe
Well an engine swap is out of the question for me...I already have another car that I have down to modify (1970 Duster 318, 4bbl, headers, duals, 3.21:1 sure-grip...I'm putting a 4-speed stick shift in now)...the car only has 19,500 miles on it right now....so she's in mint condition. Is there anyone who reprograms 3100 computers to get a little extra power out of them??? I really don't want to do any exaust work because it also looks like brand new. My car is all stock except that I put a 1990 DIS in it. For some reason the trip funtions don't work on it, but the guages functions and average speed does. SigEpCutlass
'94 is a bad year for chips...all of them are pretty much worthless for our cars. i've looked several times before.
