rare color? all i seem to see is the blue ones!!!!! its a 94 that is totaly decked out except for the 3.4, sunroof, and cd player. my family got the car in 97 with 37,000 miles on it. that was at the end of my junior year (higschool.) well, my folks owend it till about 3 years ago when i got it. i needed a reliable car for college since my truck was pretty much done for. they were looking at cheap cars and mom decided that SHE should get a new car. so, i got the cutlass with 140,000 miles. i have since then racked up 206,000 miles on it total. about 170,000 miles a headgasket went :? and then about at 180,000 the tranny let go :x but since we had the headgaskets done, we decided to put a tranny in it. that shot was taken with OVER 200,000 miles on it.

the pic was done for a magazine shoot i was doing. it was an article abour driving. it was not saveable, but i had no intentions of saving it. all for the camera! but i have saved drifts that out of control before. its about hitting the gas at the right time

yes, thats my bike on top, i do bike alot. i bought the bike a couple years ago from a kid that had rod it a total of like 10 times. and it was all on paved trails. he payed over 600 for it and i took it from him for 225

anyways, thats the history of the car. i liek the 4-doors better than the 2 doors (yeah, i know, im weird) but the 5-spoke wheels look soooo much better than the other ones IMO.

take care! i have some other shots to of the car (not as wacky though) that i can post too

I see a lot of cutty's that are that color too. Must be more of them the further north you go. He lives in Minnesota, I live in Manitoba, and there not to rare.

I always liked that color on the Cuttys. That color isnt rare up here in Buffalo...shit I remember when Turby told me how rare my bright aqua Cutty was the day I bought his leather seats and I thought he was kidding since there's such an abundance of them. Welcome to the family!

hEY!!...WELCOME!!!...and thats a nice car ya got there!!! ...that looks like fun, ALTHOUGH i would NEVER do something like that in my car...i don't even like driving it on gravel roads...

well...it's rare around here. Rental-car green is quite common though.

no action shots, but my Cutlass loves mud--and gravel--and grass--and anything I want to drive it through

even though I treat it like a red headed step-child, my car is well taken care of, 88,000 miles on it, 16,000 of them on it in the past 7 months. It is a beast.

Why the hell would you do that?

Posted

well, why not?

I don't know about you but I have fun, and my car/cars are in good enough shape to take the abuse. I have had my car for sale for like 7-8 months, and I keep my car impeccibly clean usually, and had no takers, so you know what? I am going to drive it, have fun, until it dies.

yeah....since if i ever sell mine, and would only make like $20, id rather take it out in style :). Some great shots, and really nice photography as well.

i take very good care of mine. my cutlass is my daily driver, i have a different car for my play car. anyways though, i use my car, if i have to take it on gravel so be it. you wouldnt notice that i take it on gravel becuse the car is usually clean. even in my shot with the car sliding, the car looks clean. i learned to drive my car like that on snow and ice, in wide open areas. having freinds with 4x4's, i have no need to take this thing through mudd and whatnot, but it has gotten stuck (snow). anyways though, when we got the car, i never took it on gravel if it could be avoided. living in northern MN, you dont havea choice some times. :)

if the car looked like some of the cars on here, there is NO WAY i would drive it like that.

happy holidays!!!!!!

i do have to say, it is hard to get the back end to whip out like that in these cars. a video of that pic would be great i bet!

Wish I still had room to keep my 88' around, I loved beating on that thing!

I take care of my 95 though, it's just too damn sexy to drive it like that. And in the spring, I'll be fixing up the little areas that need some touch ups, and FINALLY detail the damn thing and take good pics!!!

nice pictures man...please don't be like gomer and trash the cutty by making it a mud fording machine. i used to do that kinda shit in my truck...well because it was a TRUCK, not a sedan. Glad i'm not the only person rockin the 4dr cutty around here. There are only a few of us 8)
